The federal bank regulatory agencies has announced the approval of a final rule to improving the sharing of information about cyber incidents. As it affects the U.S. banking system, the final rule functions as a notification to any computer-security incident that occurred. It alerts the primary federal regulator and includes a required bank service provider to notify the affected banking organization customers as soon as possible.
